Contrast Consultancy
The complexity of questions under study in most health studies requires at least some specialist knowledge of data analysis techniques. At Contrast, we know that statisticians play a pivotal role in enabling the interpretation of experimental and observational studies, as well as in the gathering and processing of research data.
In any study it is important to collect “good” data, however we understand that many clients will seek the advice of a statistical consultant after the data have already been collected. Contrast has particular experience in tackling real data and statistical problems, for which there are sometimes vague or competing objectives and where it is unclear how to proceed. In consultation with our clients we will clearly define the study objectives and hypotheses and advise on the optimal analysis.
  • Identifying important variables and data collection methods.
  • Survey design and analysis.
  • Statistical data analysis and data mining.
  • Cohort studies and analysis of national health databases
  • Mortality modelling and analysis.
  • Longitudinal, cross-sectional and case-control epidemiological studies
In addition to our specialist statistical knowledge, Contrast has particular experience of working with large, multi-centre, complex databases in both the pharmaceutical and health settings and can offer expertise on data collection and data validation techniques.
